Dear Sir/Madam,

After the success of the earlier European Inland Waterway Navigation Conferences, Department of Aeronautics, Naval Architecture and Railway Vehicles of Budapest University of Technology and Economics together with other Hungarian professional parties and authorities would like to organise this international event again in the summer of 2013. Hope, the next conference – already the 7th in the line – following the former traditions can review the actual problems of the inland waterway navigation and can introduce the most interesting research and development results on this field.

In accordance with some priorities of the EU Strategy for Danube Region, the main subjects of EIWN 2013 conference will be the inland waterways infrastructure, modernization of the old fleet and development of new inland vessel concepts.

It would be a great honour for us, if you could accept our invitation to take part in the work of the International Organising Committee (IOC) of the European Inland Waterway Navigation Conference (EIWN) 2013. We would really appreciate if we could receive your reply soon.

Similarly to the previous conferences, the task of the IOC members would be to give us special help by promoting the conference on international level. We would really appreciate if you can inform those persons, professionals, firms, organizations, institutes at your field of profession who might be interested in the conference.

The conference will be held on 4-5. of June, 2013, Budapest. Detailed information on the event (registration procedure, venue, suggestions for hotels etc.) will be sent out in the near future on a “Call for paper” and will be available on the conference website at: http://eiwn.rht.bme.hu.
